CVOR RN – Key Job Responsibilities (Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital)
REQUIRED: Certifications: AHA BLS/PALS/ACLS; Epic experience
Preferred: circulating cases, scrub experience
Holiday requirement: one major holiday
Call requirement: How many in a scheduled period and how long for wk and weekday? 10 -12 of 28 day schedule period Cardiac call only
Required call response time: 30mins
Float as needed to area of like skill set. (may float to thoracic)
Pediatric CVOR procedures performed: Congenital Open hearts - ASD/VSD, Norwood/Glenn/Fontan, TAPVR, ECMO, Central Shunts, Arterial Switch, Arch reconstruction, Valve repair/replacement, Heart transplantation, etc.
Preferred: EPIC radiant, Critical Care Certification, trauma course
Unit performs image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for a broad range of services for patients with cancer, pain, diabetes, liver, kidney, and other conditions.
Interventional radiology is a medical sub-specialty of radiology utilizing minimally invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system.
The concept behind interventional radiology is to diagnose and treat patients using the least invasive techniques currently available in order to minimize risk to the patient and improve health outcomes.
