Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to a variety of the Johns Hopkins locations. Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview, 4940 Eastern Avenue

Hours: 7am-3:30pm and 8am-4:30pm to include every other weekend (rotating schedule)

Pay rate: $17.50 per hour

Responsible for performing a variety of routine food service tasks to ensure high-quality service standards. Collaborates as part of a team to deliver efficient and customer-focused service.

• Set up assigned workstation with necessary items for service, including food, menu items, utensils, paperwork, and service ware.
• Ensure all food and beverages are stored and handled according to safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation; follow proper procedures for using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective gear.
• Perform duties in the dish room, including cleaning and sanitizing trays, dishes, and utensils for reuse.
• Roll silverware and prepare trays as assigned.
• Dispose of waste properly and in accordance with guidelines.
• Restock station and maintain supply levels for the next meal service.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience working in a similar work environment
• Ability to work a rotating shift to include weekends

• Physical Requirements 

  • Lifting/pushing and/or carrying objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Stooping and bending.
  • Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Position requires working in an environment which is subject to drafts, noise, and temperature variations.
