Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is hiring for an Anesthesia Technician.

Schedule:

  • Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm
  • Part-time 
  • 13 week contract assignment

 

Pay Range: $28 - $30 

Responsibilities

  • Assists in performing a variety of anesthesia preparations and procedures in the Operating Room setting and in remote anesthetizing locations. 
  • Supports the anesthesia team by preparing, maintaining, and cleaning equipment used within an anesthetic course. 
  • Troubleshoots anesthesia equipment failures.
  • Taking into consideration the age and development needs of each patient, sets up equipment, monitoring, and rapid blood delivery devices, for intra-operative use.
  • Transports blood samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Readies anesthetizing location and anesthesia equipment for subsequent use at the end of each case. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.  
  • BLS CPR is required.
  • Successful completion of an anesthesia tech program is required; or two years of related work experience may be substituted for the anesthesia tech program. Knowledge of medical terminology typically acquired through a college level anatomy and physiology course.  Experience/knowledge of patient care procedures as related to anesthesia, electrocardiograms, airway support devices, peripheral line access devices, and pressure waveforms; operational knowledge of physiologic monitoring devices and techniques.
