Johns Hopkins Medical Imagining in Bethesda, MD is hiring for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with CT.

Schedule options:

  • Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
  • Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Scan PET and CT patients. Siemens experience is highly preferred.
  • Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals used to perform patient imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation. 
  • Accomplishes computer processing and image enhancement.  Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation. 
  •  Verifies and/or prepares quality and quantity of appropriate radiopharmaceutical.
  • Performs most diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures according to appropriate protocols.
  • verifies and prepares patients for ECG monitoring for stress testing including proper skin preparation, intravenous access and electrode placement.
  • Assists physicians in performing exercise and pharmacological stress testing that includes blood pressure measurements when needed.
  • Operates and provides basic care for Nuclear Medicine equipment and accessories. 
  • Explains procedure to the patient, assists patients on and off the examination table, and ensures patient privacy and comfort.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associates or Bachelors degree is required. 
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification is required.
  • Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist  License is required.
  • Valid BLS CPR certification is required.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine procedures, and a general knowledge of equipment used in Nuclear Medicine diagnostic procedures.
  • Requires ability to stand, turn, and stoop while operating high technological instrumentation.  Ability to assist patients by lifting or turning to achieve desired position for obtaining test results and lifting of supplies and equipment.

  • Siemens experience is highly preferred.
