Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is hiring for an Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (CVRT) for the EP Lab.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 
  • 4 - 10 hour shifts

Responsibilities

  • Performs special diagnostic procedures in Radiology, including interventional angiographic procedures, interventional diagnostic procedures, and cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all equipment components, including patient monitoring devices
  • Employee demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.  
  • Assists physician during procedures.
  • Competently selects catheters and guide wires, and prepares appropriate contrast material utilizing power injector.
  • Prepares room with appropriate equipment and film.
  • Prepares patient for procedures, explains certain aspects of procedure to patient, and obtains preliminary films.
  • Processes & assembles films for interpretation.
  • Follows established procedures to provide radiation safety procedures for oneself and the patient.
  • Performs basic nursing functions regarding patient care, including recording of vital signs as indicated.
  • Identifies arrhythmias and informs physician of patient status.
  • Correctly identifies all films as to anatomical site and patient identity.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program. 
  • EP experience is required.
  • Required either Radiologic Technologist License in the State of Maryland and an ARRT certification; or RCIS certification can be accepted in place of License and ARRT.
  • Current BLS CPR certification.
