Registered Nurse II (Acute Care / ICU / PRN)
Alternate titles: ICU RN, Staff Nurse, Critical Care Nurse

 

$60-65/hr for ICU contracts

$55/hr for PRN

 

PM and rotating 13 week assignments available

 

Provide evidence-based nursing care to inpatients, outpatients, families, community members, and employees in alignment with Johns Hopkins policies, procedures, and protocols. 

 

Coordinate and facilitate programs and clinical care activities while supporting quality, safety, and service excellence.

 

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide direction to team members to help ensure consistent, high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process and Johns Hopkins policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Facilitate and coordinate care programs for inpatients, outpatients, families, community members, and employees.
  • Provide direction and oversight to other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support program initiatives and patient care goals.
  • Foster a clinical environment that supports service excellence.
  • Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition within an acute care setting.
  • Support safe, coordinated care delivery across assigned patient populations and program areas.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal stakeholders to support care coordination.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have):

  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or a compact state
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification

Preferred (Nice-To-Have):

  • Prior experience in a large academic medical center
  • Experience coordinating care or programs across multiple patient populations
  • Experience working with inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Leadership experience providing direction to other team members
  • Strong collaboration experience with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Experience in a Johns Hopkins or similarly complex healthcare environment
  • Experience supporting quality and safety initiatives
