    The Billing Coordinator is responsible for generating billing statements for patients serviced by Johns Hopkins. The incumbent must access the hospital and physician billing detail. Follow-up with external third party payor staff to verify receipt of bill and confirm payment arrangements. Delinquent accounts are reported to the Manager for further action. 


    Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.


    At least 3 year experience in a similar work environment.

    Proven analytical ability and organizational skills necessary to assemble detailed billing documents from complex source documents.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to address questions from internal and external customers regarding billing details.


    Prior billing experience in the healthcare environment preferred.
