    We are currently seeking a Senior-level Sonographer for a Temporary assignment at Johns Hopkins Hospital in GYN OB /  Fetal Therapy.   Must have RDMS with certification in OB/GYN, and Fetal Transfusion certification.   

    40 hours per week.    

    Under the general supervision of the Chief Imaging Technologist and with the assistance of a physician, performs a more extensive range of diagnostic ultrasound and intervention procedures, assists in the training and supervising of ultrasound Sonographers, in clinical research studies and orients and educates medical staff in theory and applications of sonographic technology. 

     

    Responsibilities

    Performs all routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures.  Provides ultrasound guidance for basic and advanced invasive procedures.  

    Assists in generation of patient report and facilitates work flow.  

    Operates and provides advanced care for ultrasound equipment, image recording and storage devices.  Ensures proper functioning of recording devices.  

     

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent including successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic sonography.

     

    Current and active registered diagnostic medical sonographer (ARDMS), certified in obstetrics and fetal echocardiography.  Certified in first trimester screening with both the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) and the Society of Fetal Medicine (SMFM).   

     

    At least four years of clinical experience in diagnostic obstetrical ultrasound.  Ability to provide ultrasound guidance for basic and advanced invasive procedures and demonstrate proficiency in three- and four-dimensional imaging, obstetrical Doppler studies and fetal echocardiography.  

     

    Familiar with various models and manufacturers of diagnostic sonography equipment, recording and storage devices, advanced computers and accessory equipment.   

     

    CPR/BLS certification required.
