  • Overview

    Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to a variety of the Johns Hopkins locations. 


    This position will require successful candidates to perform a wide variety of kitchen duties that may include but not limited to general and food utensil cleaning, tray preparation, trash removal and food stocking. 


    • Setting up food workstations.
    • Maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness of work areas.
    • Cleaning of utensils and dishes.  
    • Assembling and preparing food trays for patients.
    • Disposal of garbage.
    • Restocking work areas for meal service.
    • Storing food and beverages in accordance with recommended safety requirements.


    • A minimum of Grade 8 education.
    • At least one year's experience working in a kitchen/food preparation environment.
    • Familiarity with food storage best practices and safety standards.
    • Able to display the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
    • Ability to work a morning 40 hours per week.
    • Ability to work day, morning and afternoon shifts including rotating weekends.
    • Accept a pay rate of $11.75 per hour.
