    This long-term, temporary Writer position provides an amazing opportunity to work for the renowned John Hopkins.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with excellent writing, editing and project management skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Writing content for a variety of formal healthcare related communications including newspapers, brochures, press releases, web copy, speeches, technical reports, magazines and newsletters;
    • Editing material to ensure the information is grammatically correct, factual and presented in a manner appropriate to the desired audience;
    • Using AP style writing, SiteExecutive, WordPress and Photo resizing tools;
    • Implementing and managing assigned writing projects.

    Qualifications

    A Bachelor's degree in journalism or English, preferred.  A minimum of five years' writing and editorial experience at a newspaper or other high-volume publisher, or equivalent experience; familiarity with medical, scientific and health care terminology; and previous experience writing formal healthcare related publications and working for a hospital will be a significant advantage.
