Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to a variety of the Johns Hopkins locations. The Johns Hopkins Health System has a current need for a Business Support Account Manager with Intrastaff, the Johns Hopkins internal staffing agency. The Account Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating the filling of temporary requests received from Johns Hopkins and its affiliates.

Responsibilities

Account Management:

  • Builds outside relationships with Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) managers
  • Meets at least quarterly with top volume clients sharing performance and usage reports.
  • Solicits information from manager that will help with anticipating and projecting human resource needs.
  • Manages expectations of client managers by providing updates on status of job order at a minimum of every 3 days
  • Ensures that candidates submitted to client managers meet all requirements for working in the JHHS.
  • Actively pursues building relationships with outside vendors who support Intrastaff in filling orders for the JHHS.
  • Meets all outside vendors at least yearly and top providers quarterly to review statistics and anticipated needs for the following quarter.
  • Utilize promotional and marketing tools to market Intrastaff to non-JHHS companies in order to increase awareness and additional revenue.

Personnel Management:

  • Monitors temporary staff pool for compliance to annual requirements and job specific requirements.
  • Ensure that all staff have worked within last 6 months, otherwise, must go through rehire process.
  • Manages temp pool for staff have who are and are not actively working, making regular contact and inviting engagement to fill job orders.
  • Initiates exiting/terminate process for all staff who have not worked for 6 or more months.
  • Responds to unemployment requests within stated deadlines, with appropriate information. Attends unemployment hearings.
  • Documents all offers for temp jobs and subsequent emails in temp staff’s profile/HR record.
  • Reviews and approves time and attendance prior to payroll deadline.
  • Monitors for non-compliance of manager’s signing off temp staff worked hours in Kronos and delegates to Coordinator for follow-up.
  • Escalates to upper management when appropriate.
  • Managers both attendance and performance problems by following and adhering to Intrastaff policies and procedures, including the requirement documentation in personnel file.
  • Works cooperatively when delegating and holding support staff accountable to their job duties.

Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with assigned recruiter to ensure that temporary staff are being hired for specific temporary requests that have been received.
  • Utilizes software database to manage both client orders and awarding of shifts and/or contracts to temp employees.
  • Outsources orders by entering them in vendor management software if appropriate internal candidates cannot be identified with 3 days of receiving the order.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment/interviewing/placement of personnel experience with equal comprehension of human resource policy and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills required to interact with diverse groups of people internal and external to Johns Hopkins Medicine/Johns Hopkins Health System.
  • Strong organizational development skills required to manage fast-paced office, large volume of temporary requests, and customer expectations.
  • The analytical ability to effectively develop strategies for meeting department staffing challenges.
